KARVACHAUTH MAKEUP AND HAIR

 MY FAVORITE KARVACHAUTH

Ok so this was my second Karvachauth festival, where Indian (north-Indian) women celebrate this festival by fasting for their husband, also in some parts of the India even unmarried girls observe fasting to get their desired husband!!

Its a traditional Indian festival, celebrated annually where married women fast whole day without eating and drinking anything not even water, the rituals differ little bit from state to state in India but the basic concept is to celebrate a day for praying for goodwill of their husband and spend whole day in getting ready for the evening,  since the women fast for the whole day, they celebrate whole day by shopping, going to parlor, doing makeup on other married women or on herself, getting henna done on hands and feet, also married women get gifts from husband and family (parents ) so it is a fun festival !!!

That's how it is celebrated whole kindheartedly , in the evening all pretty married women they get ready with new clothes, jewelery , makeup and henna ( more like a newly wedded bride )  and at the end of the day the moon rises the married women offer prayers to the moon for well wishes of their husband and his long and prosperous healthy life.

So, last year I wasn't in India, I celebrated my First Karvachauth outside country ,I missed so much fun and the the guidance from parents that i needed !! so this second was equally important to me to learn lot more in a right way :)) and my Mom did everything for me and to me :) Like dolling me up for the day, trust me it is so difficult to manage with fasting whole day without even drop of water !!! by the end of the day I was so dull , hehehe.... but I still managed to jump around and enjoyed my day to the fullest, Trust me if you do something do it whole heartedly that's my formula to stay happy always :)) hehehe...

I got this saree as a gift from my mommy :) I know she bought it from "Kalamandir bangalore " :)) I love kalamandir collection in sarees ,lehangas, and dresses along with other jewelery and makeup as a gift on this Karvachauth , I choose the red color for the saree I wanted to dress in Red, The "duppatta" I am wearing is from my Bridal dress,
Also the gifts and the company of my hubby gave me so much energy to enjoy my day, I celebrated the day time with family and hubby, I did Henna on my hands and my Mom's hand too :))

And to be honest by the EOD i was so tired that even smiling and posing was tough for me :)))))))))))))

Happy Karva Chauth whenever, wherever you are celebrating :))
